Kim graduated from Concordia Seward in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in eduaction with a Middle School endorsement. Her concentrations were in Math, Natural Science, and Social Science. St. Paul was her first call where she taught 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade. She is currently serving in her eighteenth year at St. Paul. She is married to Josh, who is a designer for Kaemark. They have two children. Malia is in the sixth grade, and Ayla is in Second. Kim enjoys working with the upper grades at St. Paul for many reasons. She loves their morning talks and sharing stories with her students. She loves watching her students excel, and seeing that moment in their eyes when they finally "get it". She knows this age group can be a difficult one while they are trying to figure themselves out and trying to understand what God's plan is for each of them. She feels privileged to be a part of their life during these years where she can be there and guide them and daily show them God's love, grace, and forgiveness. When Kim is not involved with school activities, she enjoys watching movies with the family, reading, spending time with friends, and going shopping.
One of Kim's favorite verses from the Bible is from Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
